Did You Know?

The Northbrook Park District has a Lightning Warning System.  There's sirens at Sportsman's Country Club, the Northbrook Sports Center, the Village Green, Wood Oaks Green Park, Techny Prairie Park and Fields and the Chalet at Meadowhill Park.

If there's an immediate threat of lightning in the area it sounds one long blast of a siren.  There's also a strobe light that flashes on the unit.  If you hear or see either one seek shelter immediately!  Once the threat has passed the siren will sound three 5-second blasts and the strobe will go off.

Team Gear Return

Attention All Head Coaches

We've scheduled a gear return for Saturday morning, August 2nd, from 9:00am to 10:15am at the Lockup.

While we're all ready to get that big gear bag out of the garage, we have one final request before you return it.  We need your help getting it ready for storage over the winter.  If you would do the following it would be a big help:

1.  Take everything out of the gear bag, throw away all of the trash and dump out the dirt.  Also, remove the first aid kit and cold paks - we don't want them back.

2.  Wash all of the catcher's gear and batting helmets and make sure everything is completely dry before repacking it in the gear bag.  It usually takes at least 24 hours for the gear to dry.

3.  Next, take all of the practice balls out of the bag and clean it out.  Again, throw away any trash and personal gear that you may have collected (water bottles, batting gloves, etc).

4.  Please return your practice balls and any unused game balls.

Rating Your Son's Coaches

At the end of the season we ask parents to give us feedback about their son's coach(es).  In the left column is the link to the ratings form.  We're primarily looking for feedback on the head coach.  But, you're also welcome to fill out a form for any of the assistant coaches.
