House League Update

THE 2009 SEASON IS FINISHED

The 2009 house league season is now officially over.  It ended with the completion of the Pony League World Series on June 29th. 

Special "THANKS" to all of the volunteer coaches who spent many hours at the ball fields practicing with and coaching their teams.

The boys of summer are still at it.  There's 84 teams playing this weekend in Northbrook in our Annual 4th of July Tournament.  The who, when and where can be found in the Game Schedules available under the 4th of July Tournament link in the left column.  Admission is FREE to all of the games!

You Rate the Coaches

We're asking you to give us feedback on your coaches by completing a ratings form that's available through the Rate the Coaches link in the left column.

If you're rating more than one, please use only one form per coach.  Thanks for all your help and have a terrific summer!

4th of July Tournament

GAME SCHEDULES POSTED

Game Schedules for all of the age groups have been posted.  You'll find them through the 4th of July Tournament link in the left column.

Play begins July 1st, with travel teams from across northern Illinois.  We hope you'll come out and watch.  See you there!

Way To Go Jackson!!

Jackson Grabill, one of our Northbrook Baseball League players, finished first in his age group, in this year's Pitch Hit & Run Competition, which was held at Wrigley Field.  He did it by totaling one of the highest scores in the region.  The next stop for him is the MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis.  Look for him in the Busch Stadium outfield shagging fly balls during the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night July 13th.

Jackson played for BNL Construction in the Minors this year.  He's also on this year's 10 Year Old Green Travel team.

Coaches Gear Return

The gear return on June 27th went very well.  If you missed it or still need your gear for travel or the house league playoffs, we'll have another one after the travel season is over.
